Google applies for contact lens camera patent

Yoshihisa Maitani once was asked what his ideal camera would be. His reply was along the lines of “simple: you simply look at something, and the picture is captured”.

If it were to be limited to that function, this invention would be marvellous, but the nasty information-hungry goblins infesting the Internet have made every such new development seem more of a curse.

It’s time that stringent electronic privacy laws were enacted, and enforced with a very big stick.

…Always supposing, of course, that they don’t interfere with street photography.
