Just Posted: Our review of the Canon EOS 700D / EOS Rebel T5i. The 700D may be a near-identical twin of the short-lived EOS 650D, but it’s still a worthy option for novice DSLR upgraders, combining high image quality and an articulated LCD with a comprehensive touchscreen interface. This new model also ships with an STM version of the 18-55mm kit zoom, providing another welcome option for faster, silent AF. What else does the 700D have to offer? Read our review to find out.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…..next! Canon fumbles again with their supposed upgrade. Nice camera but nothing new. I strongly assume I’d be able to pick it up in a couple of months (if I was interested) at a significant discount as they roll out their next “latest and greatest”.

Nice form factor, too bad about glacial live view AF.

If ever there was a good time to give a camera the Bronze award it would be now. Not to say that this is a bad camera. However, Canon should be reminded that their products are lagging behind the competition significantly now.

A good way to keep the retail price hiked back up, same out camera new name. If this works out someone in marketing is going to get a nice bonus.

I am just waiting for them to post a Press Release that says “We got Nuthin”. A once proud company is floundering.

Literally the same camera…lol what a joke, they must have learned from Nikon when they “upgraded” the J1 to the J2 which lasted for about three months…really sad.

The J2 at least got a better LCD going from 460 K on the J1 to 920 K on the J2. This camera got “real time Live Effects preview and a “upmarket textured body finish”.
