Manfrotto launches XPRO Ball Head

Just buy an Arca Swiss or Really Right Stuff BH-55 and be done with it.

My seemingly small BH-55 holds an insanely heavy 8×10 monorail rock steady with no play at all and doesn’t shake either, even when pointing it down to the ground at an angle.

Even the super heavy duty Pan and Tilt heads can’t do that. The handles are hard to tighten and loosen, and under heavy loads, the camera always shifts a little before you get it tight enough.

I used to think Ballheads weren’t practical for heavy loads, but the best ones are so superior to anything else if you want absolute rock steady performance.

The BH-55 holds 50 pounds, and an Arca Swiss will hold 130.
