Reply to 24-120 f4 performance around 85mm DXOmark

If someone still reading this, here is a guy shooting with old 85 and 135 lens wide open mounted on old DSLR:

If you check DXO, our 24-120 @ 85mm 5.6 looks significantly better than his stuff at apertures he is shooting. So, I would say, in terms of sharpness, 24-120 is more than enough even for the art gallery. Basically, everything above 0.8 on Nikon’s MTF charts (red line) or yellow color in DXO tests is retina level and higher and could be considered as absolutely sharp when viewing whole image with perfect sight. 85mm 5.6 is surely above this level.
